BOILERS AND PRESSURE SYSTEMS LIABILITY INSURANCE
This insurance is provided to cover the insured, who carries out commercial activity in various fields. Categories of economic operators, who own or manage equipment or installations under pressure, in function of a commercial activity, must be subject to the obligation to be equipped with a civil liability insurance contract throughout the entire period of use of the equipment/installations under pressure to guarantee coverage of damages that may be caused to the environment, life, health and property of citizens.
WHAT DOES IT COVERS:
Guaranteeing coverage of damages that may be caused to the environment, life, health and property of citizens.
Compensation for losses and damages to third parties, including the expenses and legal costs of the insured for the protection of his interests during the trial process, caused by unexpected, unforeseen events [accidents] occurring in the premises where the Insured’s activity is carried out, resulting in consequences in:
- Third party health, which means physical injury, illness or death of any person who is not a party to this insurance contract.
- Third party property, which means physical damage or destruction of property in the possession of any person who is not a party to this contract.
The obligation to obtain a civil liability insurance contract is imposed on:
- Entities that carry out commercial activities and provide services to third parties in the following areas:
a) Restaurant/food services;
b) Accommodation/tourism;
c) Social service;
ç) Health service;
d) Educational institutions;
dh) State institution/enterprise;
e) Construction;
ë) Production/processing/trading non-food products;
f) Production/processing/trading of food products;
g) Wholesale fluid trading company;
gj) Retail fluid trading company;
h) Fluid/hydrocarbon extraction/production and processing company;
i) Company for the production and processing of technical/medical gases;
j) Wholesale technical/medical gases trading company;
k) Retail technical/medical gases trading company;
l) Transportation of various cylinders;
ll) Transportation by tanker trucks;
m) Railway services;
n) Maritime services;
nj) Marine tourism activities;
o) Physical and legal entities operating in the field of fire protection and rescue, which use pressure vessels (fire protection systems) during their activities.
- Entities that use and/or administer pressure vessels, by volume:
a) Steam boilers and hot water in production;
b) Stationary/reserved LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) pressure equipment;
c) LPG cylinders (portable pressurized equipment-PTNP);
ç) Simple pressure/stationary vessels;
d) Cryogenic vessels for technical hydrogen/oxygen gases (including PTNPs);
dh) Technical and medical gas cylinders (PTNP);
e) Other PTNPs;
ë) Hydrocarbon/fuel tank;
f) Technological/industrial lines;
g) Fire extinguishing equipment and stationary fire extinguishing equipment.
